It's Your Day
The Whittaker Room, the Hall’s original chapel dating back to the 1400s, is the perfect romantic setting for your wedding ceremony, with light streaming through the ancient stone mullioned windows.
After you’ve said “I Do”, our friendly team will ensure your guests enjoy an ice-cold glass of fizz and a selection of delicious canapés in the beautiful 16th Century Parlour. On sunnier days the sweeping front lawn will be the setting for garden games.
Our immediate grounds are private and provide your photographer with gorgeous backdrops, including beech hedged lawns, stone steps, Italian courtyard, festoon lit tennis lawn, rosarium and ancient woodland.
The Wedding Breakfast follows in our 700 year old Great Hall, there is no better room in Lancashire to enjoy your first meal together as a married couple. Our brilliant team of chefs have been busy behind the scenes preparing the most memorable meal that your guests will talk about for years to come.
Be toasted as newlyweds with a glass of chilled Prosecco and good cheer.
With full bellies, retire to the coffee lounge for after dinner drinks. The wooden floor of the Great Hall will become the best atmospheric place to dance the night away.
Our Italian Courtyard is the finest spot for relaxing during your evening reception, especially when we have our pizza oven and street food shack fired up and serving delicious food for your guests.
After the bar calls final orders, your guests can take a quick stroll to our Hamlet of Shepherd’s Huts for the best night’s sleep. The Victorian Gatehouse is where you as newlyweds will rest your heads – with luxurious furnishings, double shower and roll top bath and an extra comfortable bed, it is the perfect end to a perfect day.
Pop back in the following morning for a lovely Lancashire breakfast done only the best way in our amazing Heritage Café.
