Opening Hours

Please always check the list of closure dates below to find out whether or not the Hall is open before you visit.

Historic House, Grounds & Dottie's Wafflery

The Historic House and Grounds are usually open from 10am - 4pm every day with the exception of Mondays and Saturdays.  The Hall may also be closed on other days of the week on occasion, so please double check with the dates below that we are definitely open prior to your visit. These closures do not affect the Heritage Café which is always open Tuesday to Sunday even when the Hall, Grounds and Wafflery are closed for weddings.

We are open every Bank Holiday Monday, with the exception of New Year's Day and Boxing Day.

The Historic House and Grounds will be closed on the following dates in 2024:

March: 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 30th

April: 6th, 8th, 13th, 15th, 20th, 22nd, 27th, 29th

May: 4th, 11th, 13th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 25th, 31st

June: 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th

Please be aware we cannot allow picnics – our charity relies on the money we make from the delicious food & drink we sell which enables us to keep our doors open for free!  If you enjoy your visit please do make a donation if you can (however small!) in one of the many buckets throughout the rooms.

The grounds and ground floor are accessible to wheelchairs - we are sorry but unfortunately some of the upstairs rooms are not currently accessible, but there is access to the galleries via a stair lift.

Make sure to visit our event diary to see what's on at the Hall.
