Chefs

We are recruiting chefs at all levels, working as part of our Functions and Heritage Café team here at Samlesbury Hall.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record, be able to follow recipes and keep up with all the latest food trends.

You will need to prepare high quality food from locally sourced ingredients, and have strong attention to detail.

The role is either full time or part-time, including weekends, with a competitive salary (dependent upon experience).

This is a fantastic position, with majority daytime and no split shifts.

We pride ourselves on a good working atmosphere and a happy kitchen. Our chefs are paid for every hour they work (no unpaid overtime!). You are also guaranteed a day off on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Own transport essential due to location.

Bar Staff

We are looking for good bar staff to join our hard working wedding team.

Duties include:

  • Service of drinks
  • Food service
  • Keeping bar areas clean and tidy
  • Resetting after a wedding function

You will be required to work most Friday/Saturday evenings, with a late finish (usually between 1-2am).

Own transport essential due to location.

Kitchen Porter

The role is to include;

  • Basic food preparation
  • Washing up, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas
  • Unloading and putting away deliveries
  • Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly
  • Other duties to help the smooth running of the kitchen

Historic and beautiful workplace, with a friendly team, located in Samlesbury near to the motorway junction. Ideal candidate would need to be able to get to the location as it is in a semi rural setting near the motorway and Preston.

Part-time hours: 20-30 per week.

Wafflery Assistant

We are recruiting a hard working individual to join our lovely team in Dottie’s Wafflery.

Duties include:

  • Preparing and serving ice creams, milkshakes, waffles, cakes, teas and coffees

Part-time hours, must be available to work on Sundays and midweek during school holidays.

Own transport essential due to location.

Transport: The Hall itself is situated on the A677 (Preston New Road) and not always easily accessible via public transport, please bear this in mind when applying.
