Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a fantastic restaurant manager!
The position is full time and the usual days of work are Sunday to Thursday... whilst mostly days there will be an occasional evening, so flexibility is essential.
The role requires a complete professional, used to working with a busy team and liaising with directors and chefs. At least five years of hospitality experience is preferable.
First class service is tantamount together with a willingness to maintain and work a busy daytime restaurant.
The candidate must be smart, hardworking and have a very pleasant manner. They must also be very capable to run a team of front of house staff. 
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within our very hardworking team at Samlesbury Hall.

Applicants must have a full clean driving licence please.

Front of House

You will be required to serve breakfasts to guests staying in our Hamlet of Shepherd's huts, plus work in the coffee lounge/Dottie's Wafflery serving hot drinks, ice-cream and waffles. We will also need you to work in our busy lunchtime restaurant, including work out front and on the bar.

You must be flexible and willing to learn all aspects of front of house.

Previous experience is desirable, although not essential as full training will be given.

Commis/Apprentice Chef

Work within a well established kitchen team at this historic venue in Lancashire. No experience necessary just a willingness to work hard and learn (from the best!). Excellent work/life balance offering mainly daytime shifts.   

Operations Facilitator

A full time role has become available for an Operations Facilitator at our Shepherd's Hut Hamlet at Samlesbury Hall. We need a practical person with experience of general handy work, who must be of smart appearance due to reception duties. You will be required to have good team leadership skills, being proficient in IT and have a good command of the English language. A good knowledge of Health and Safety is required and the ability to conform to the necessary legislative requirements, i.e. the completion of paperwork/forms. This is a full time role which will include each weekend and occasional call-outs. Ideally, campsite and/or hotel experience would be advantageous but full training will be given. Duties to include weekly checks of servicing and upkeep; facilitation of bookings onto Camp Manager System; management of housekeeping; stock ordering etc. There is a requirement to work outside on occasions. This is a hands on role working alongside our management team. An immediate start is available.

Weekend Evening Bar Staff 

You will be required primarily on Friday and/or Saturday evenings to work on our busy bar during wedding receptions.  Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given by our bar manager.  Your hours of work would usually be from around 7pm until 2am (with the option of more hours if able), most Saturdays and occasional Fridays.  18+ and own transport essential.

Weekend casual waiting on & function staff  

Join our fantastic team!  Help is required on Saturdays/Sundays in our busy lunchtime restaurant and during our wedding receptions.  If you are also able to work ad hoc on other days of the week, please let us know.

Transport:  The Hall itself is situated on the A677 (Preston New Road) and not always easily accessible via public transport, please bear this in mind when applying.
