A Ghost Story for Christmas

The Forever House

SAMLESBURY HALL PRESENTS A BRAND NEW GHOST STORY FOR CHRISTMAS IN 2024

Following the sell-out success of Samlesbury Hall’s ‘Lot 13’ in 2023, the hall presents ‘The Forever House - A Ghost Story for Christmas’ in 2024.

Lancashire’s most haunted hall will once again become the backdrop for A Ghost Story for Christmas when a brand new spine-tingling seasonal play titled The Forever House opens for 6 consecutive evenings at Samlesbury Hall, near Preston, in December 2024.

Sharon Jones, Director of Samlesbury Hall said “Christmas and ghost stories go hand in hand, and we have established our annual ghost plays over the last three years.  For our fourth year we are excited to present this dramatic new ghost story to audiences looking for a family-friendly spine-chilling experience.”

The 40-minute production is designed for families and lovers of ghost stories and is now an annual event at the Hall.  The audience will ‘travel through time’ as the ghostly Christmas tale comes vividly to life in four dimensions, and will be guided through the rooms of the hall as they watch each scene of the story unfold.

Jason Karl, from AtmosFEAR! Scare Entertainment, who are producing the play said “The Forever House has been inspired by a story written in 1923 by Montague Rhodes James called ‘The Haunted Doll’s House’.  We have retained the spirit of the original tale, but are presenting it in a new way and with a new story arc.  Our fourth annual promenade ghost play offers the perfect seasonal thrill, set against the spectacular backdrop of historic Samlesbury Hall”.

The Forever House – A Ghost Story for Christmas combines live actors and theatrical storytelling to present a promenade theatre experience.  Performances last approximately 40 minutes and begin at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm on the 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th December 2024.  Tickets are £20 (+ booking fee) per person and must be booked in advance at https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Preston/Samlesbury-Hall/
