We met in college and have spent 12 very happy years together. We got engaged in November 2021 when we went for a forest picnic with our two dogs. We were so excited to plan our wedding and we booked Samlesbury Hall as our wedding venue within 6 weeks! We fell in love with Samlesbury Hall the moment we stepped onto the grounds and we're so glad we were able to have our wedding reception here. We wanted to find somewhere that had lots of character and was very welcoming to our wedding guests, which made Samlesbury Hall perfect. It has so much history and spooky stories which we loved. We really wanted to have our doggies there to celebrate with us and Samlesbury were so accommodating.

We also couldn't thank the staff at Samlesbury enough. They brought so much calm to the chaos that a wedding usually brings and made sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn't believe how they made every little detail we had imagined come to life. The food was stunning and we got so many compliments from guests about how the food tasted. From the canapes (the black pudding sausage roll was a big hit!) to pizzas in the evening, everything was perfect! We had Goosnargh Chicken and Seabass as mains which went down brilliantly and our guests have been talking about the sticky toffee pudding ever since the wedding!

The hall on the day was breathtaking and we had some many people tell us it was the most beautiful venue they had been to. We truly had the most amazing wedding and it honestly exceeded every expectation we could have had. We literally gasped when we first saw how the dining hall had been decorated. It's hard to pick a favourite moment of the day but we loved seeing the kids playing on the lawn and with the hook-a-duck! Everyone enjoyed the shepherd's huts and found them so charming. Getting ready in the gatehouse was so special and the bridal party had a lovely time getting ready together. It was also perfect for me and Callum to go back to at the end of the night and talk about the day.
