We met in Germany when we were both serving in the Army in Paderborn. I'd already been there a year when Lewi moved in opposite me and we realised that we are both from Lancashire. I am from St Annes and Lewi is from Preston. We both knew we wanted a traditional yet non-religious wedding ceremony and remembered visiting Samlesbury as children. When we saw online what an amazing wedding venue it had become we didn't hesitate to book.
The team were amazing in the preparations, especially as neither of us were near Lancashire so it was difficult to visit. We had a three-dish buffet for our wedding breakfast and so many guests raved about both the quality and the quantity of the food. All three dishes were delicious and people could eat as much as they liked, we couldn't have asked for anything better.
It is too difficult to choose a favourite part of the day, we had such an amazing time. We both love a bit of a dance so the ceilidh was great fun, thanks to The Old School band.
All in all we had the best day of our lives celebrating in a perfect venue with amazing staff, thank you.
Lucy and Lewi Xx
