The Galleries at Samlesbury showcase the finest of Lancashire art, two exhibition rooms offering bi-monthly work, often for sale.
The Bridge is the Gallery rooms for photography, mixed media to 3D and fabric, single artists to collectives.
Making the journey through these rooms is a pleasure. You may even find that perfect painting or gift!
2015 sees the arrival of our brand new exhibition 'The Pedlar's Trunk'. The trunk dates from the early 1600s and is returning to the Hall for a yearlong exhibition. Used by Catholic priests in the 17th century to deliver mass and other sacraments, it was found hidden in one of the Hall's priest holes and later sold at auction in the 19th century. Allegedly used by Saint Edmund Arrowsmith, this exhibition, in partnership with Stonyhurst College, will display the trunk and its objects, whilst exploring 17th century Samlesbury and Lancashire.
