Face painting and honeybee talks
Spring is here and the bees are buzzing. Come and see them at The Bee Centre; it's a hive of activity!
· Face painting - all day.
· Honey tasting - all day.
Kath the beekeeper will be giving talks about bees and beekeeping. You can also see the bees up close via the giant, indoor, glass, observation hive. Their behaviour is fascinating! Watch babies emerging and bees making honey. You might even spot the queen laying eggs or workers performing the waggle dance.
There will be local, raw honey, candles, fudge, jewellery and other bee related products for sale. Beekeeping staff will be available all day to provide information and talks about bees and beekeeping. There will also be honey tasting all day.
For more adventurous visitors there will be a chance to put on a bee suit and join Kath on one of her 'bee experience tours' in the apiary. It is possible to book on these day but places are limited so booking in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment. To book or for more information email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.thebeecentre.org.
