Here at Samlesbury Hall we believe that, as much as possible, local produce must be used.
Our Head Gardener, Louise is turning the grounds into a paradise of beautiful flowerbeds and functional herbs, salad crops and vegetables.
She also has greenhouse grown salad ingredients. So you are assured of the freshest, tastiest fare that Lancashire can offer.
Why not stroll around the Gardens and courtyard and see just what will be served for your lunch. From Oak leaf, Lollo Rosso, Lambs Lettuce & Rocket. Then on to Beetroot, Fennel, Carrots, Courgettes, Cucumbers, Tomatoes &Chillies for the tastiest ingredients.
With Basil, Dill, Red Basil, Sage, Mint, Chives, Garlic Chives, Parsley, Thyme, Rosemary, Marjoram, Bay leaves most of the herbs needed enhance our freshly prepared food.
So, to the ingredients that we are not (at the moment) growing. The rest of the vegetables are sourced from suppliers who are known for using local produce as much as is practicable.
Brendan Anderton, the Award Winning Longridge butchers, trades in only the finest of meats, mainly from the Forest of Bowland, brings to us the best of sausages, lamb, beef, pork and fowl. Giles of Wellgate Fisheries in Clitheroe, keep us up to date with the finest, freshest, tastiest fish in Lancashire.
The Restauant is open Lunchtimes from Sunday to Friday
(closed Saturdays for Weddings)
Come sample our fresh cakes, scones etc, with either a pot of loose leaf house blend tea or arrabica freshly ground coffee preparde to your liking!
