Samlesbury Hall invites you and your school to join our Lady of the House in one of your best school trips in Lancashire, as she relives the Tudor Ages with students, and lets them discover and explore all aspects of Tudor times, and our wonderful Hall.
The Lady of the House will welcome the class as they arrive, and show them to the room they will use as a base for the day. She will then take them on a Tour of the Hall, sharing Tall Tales and Spooky Stories!!
Activities throughout the day will include looking around the Hall for the Gargoyles and Family Crests, the pupils will then have the chance to discuss and sketch them into their activity books. A tour of outside (weather permitting) and ending the afternoon with role play, based on the History and families who lived at the Hall in Tudor Times.
This programme runs all year round and we can accept a maximum of 40 pupils per visit.
Costs
£6 per child for the day, this includes an activity book which the children will take away with them. Pupils are encouraged to dress up in Tudor Clothing, however it is not essential.
